Oregon is making a serious statement in the Big Ten. The Ducks knocked off Ohio State on Saturday, and the ripple effects across the College Football Playoff picture are massive. Oregon sits at the top of the conference standings and is firmly in the driver's seat for a first-round bye and top seeding.
Which brings us to Columbus, where the Buckeyes are in genuine crisis mode. Quarterback Luke Fahey is now zero and two as a starter, and Ryan Day is almost certainly facing a change under center. Ohio State's playoff hopes are essentially gone, and the pressure on the program heading into the final stretch of the season is as intense as it's been in years.
And if you missed the best finish of the college football weekend, UCF just handed Kansas one of the most gut-punch losses you'll see all year. Alonza Barnett the Third found Caden Piening at the left pylon on a six-yard strike with three seconds left on the clock, capping a seventy-three yard drive in under a minute. The call survived a replay review, and UCF snapped a twelve-game road losing streak in the most dramatic fashion possible.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
