Texas is making a statement in the College Football Playoff race. The Longhorns gutted out a fourth-quarter victory over Missouri in Week ten, adding a signature win to a resume that's getting harder and harder for the selection committee to ignore. Texas is building something real.
Shifting to the NFL, Mason McCormick walked away clean after throwing Jared Verse head-first into the turf, and the league decided no fine was coming his way. That's a call that's going to raise eyebrows around the league, especially for defensive players who know exactly how that kind of hit feels from the receiving end.
And in Atlanta, the Falcons activated linebacker James Pearce ahead of their matchup against the Bengals in Madrid on Sunday. Pearce sat out the first eight games under suspension following a domestic violence arrest, but he returns with ten and a half sacks already on his rookie résumé. Joe Burrow now has to account for him on an international stage.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
