The Winnipeg Jets pulled off one of the more stunning reversals you'll see this season, erasing a four-goal deficit against the Montreal Canadiens before Dylan Samberg buried the overtime winner to seal a five-four victory. Four goals in just over two minutes in the third period tied it up, snapping a nine-game skid in the most dramatic fashion possible.
Out in Pittsburgh, Tomas Hertl delivered twice for the Vegas Golden Knights, with the second coming thirty-two seconds from the final buzzer to lift Vegas past the Penguins three-two. The Golden Knights survived a late five-on-three penalty kill before Hertl tipped a Mark Stone pass past Arturs Silovs, giving Vegas just their second ever regulation win in Pittsburgh.
And on the hardwood, Northwestern Women's Basketball opened the Carla Berube era with a sixty-four to sixty win over Milwaukee. Junior transfer Lily Carmody carried the offensive load with twenty-one points, while Casey Harter added sixteen of her own. A tight finish, but a winning one, and a confident first statement from a program with something to prove in the Big Ten.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
