The football world is grieving tonight. Jesus de Miguel, striker for Tenerife, has died following a collision on the pitch, and tributes poured in across Tuesday's Champions League fixtures. A devastating reminder of how fragile it all is — the game paused, and rightly so, to honor him.
And speaking of Champions League drama, Manchester United delivered one for the ages. Down two goals to Roma, Michael Carrick's side dug deep and found something that looked like the United of old — grinding out a three-two victory that keeps their European dream alive. Carrick's job was under real pressure, and for one night at least, Old Trafford remembered what it felt like to believe.
Meanwhile in Formula One, Ferrari's Mexico City Grand Prix turned into a civil war before the first lap was done. Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton went wheel to wheel, trading aggressive contact through the opening corners, with Leclerc eventually taking a time penalty. Asked about it afterward, Leclerc kept his cool — saying simply he could be unhappy too. Diplomatic, but that tension inside the garage is very real.
