Welcome to Sports Desk, let's get into it.
Josh Allen is putting his stamp on this Buffalo Bills season in a big way. The quarterback punched in his eighth rushing touchdown of the year Monday night, a number that keeps climbing and puts him in rare company among signal-callers who can hurt you with their legs just as much as their arm.
Meanwhile out in Los Angeles, Puka Nacua came up huge for the Rams, hauling in a touchdown that flipped the scoreboard to twenty to nineteen in their favor. The second-year receiver continues to prove his breakout debut season was no fluke, delivering in tight moments when the Rams needed a spark most.
But the play that had everyone talking was the reversal of a James Cook fumble that was initially awarded to the Rams. Officials quickly overturned the call, giving the ball back to Buffalo in what became a genuinely game-changing sequence. Fans were confused in real time, but the officiating crew moved fast and the ruling stood.
Shifting to the hardwood, the Knicks dropped their third straight preseason game, falling to Minnesota one hundred twenty two to one hundred four at Madison Square Garden. New York shot just twenty five percent from deep, and the offense still looks like a work in progress heading toward the regular season.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
