You're tuned in to Sports Desk, let's get you caught up.
The NFL has closed the book on the Jalen Hurts blood clot situation, and Philadelphia is walking away clean. The league concluded that the Eagles handled the process of clearing their quarterback to play in London during Week five appropriately, and no punishment will be handed down. For Philly, that's a significant exhale.
Staying in the NFC East, there's a trade rumor swirling around Dallas that could reshape the Cowboys' entire offensive identity. Reports suggest the team has been connected to Steelers wide receiver George Pickens, and given Dallas sitting at two and four, the front office may feel pressure to shake things up before the season slips away entirely. A Pickens trade would be a stunner, but the Cowboys are clearly not satisfied with what they have.
And shifting to Chicago, Caleb Williams is quietly putting together one of the more remarkable statistical turnarounds you'll see from a young quarterback. After finishing dead last in completion percentage a season ago, Williams has climbed all the way to first in the league this year. That's not a small jump, that's a complete reinvention of his game in year two.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
