Lincoln Riley finally has his signature win. USC dismantled number two Ohio State thirty to eighteen Saturday night, with Jayden Maiava throwing for two hundred twenty two yards and a touchdown, while King Miller and Waymond Jordan each found the end zone on the ground. Riley's best moment in a Trojans uniform, and the AP Poll is about to feel it.
Shifting to the hardwood, Angel Reese's rookie season ends without a championship. The Chicago Sky forward walked off the floor expressionless as confetti fell for New York in the WNBA Finals, a season full of statement performances ultimately falling short of the last word. She's closer to where she wants to be, but the wait continues at least another year.
And in college football's Atlantic Coast Conference, Miami stayed perfect behind a monster performance from Mark Fletcher Junior, who put up a hat trick in a narrow road win over North Carolina in Chapel Hill. The Hurricanes leaned on their offensive core in the crucial moments, and that trust paid off as Miami protected their unbeaten record heading deeper into the season.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
