Cairo Santos had himself a night in Chicago. The Bears kicker missed a fourth-quarter field goal that had everyone holding their breath, then answered the moment with a game-sealing boot to put New England away. Santos called the earlier miss annoying, which is an understatement, but redemption came fast and the Bears walked out with the win.
Shifting to college football, and the Texas Longhorns are at a genuine crossroads. Steve Sarkisian and Arch Manning are staring down a must-win situation against Ole Miss with the College Football Playoff picture getting blurry fast. The season has unraveled into something messy, and Saturday feels less like a game and more like a referendum on where this program actually stands.
And speaking of Arch Manning, his name is already spinning through the transfer rumor mill for two thousand twenty seven. LSU, Ole Miss, and Oregon are reportedly among the destinations being discussed if Manning decides to move on from Texas. Nothing is imminent, but the fact that this conversation is even happening tells you everything about the pressure building in Austin right now.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
