Aaron Boone is staying in the Bronx. A source confirmed to ESPN that Boone will return as Yankees manager in two thousand twenty seven, kicking off his tenth season at the helm. That's a decade of pinstripes for Boone, and the organization is clearly comfortable with the continuity heading into next year.
Shifting to the NFL, Sean Payton is not ready to pull the plug on Bo Nix in Denver. When asked point-blank whether he'd bench his second-year quarterback, Payton sent a clear message of confidence in his guy. The Broncos are navigating a tough stretch, but Payton isn't signaling any change under center just yet.
And over in New York, Giants head coach John Harbaugh is giving the clearest indication yet of where the team stands on their quarterback situation, and it sounds like J.J. McCarthy is very much part of the conversation. The Giants are still working through their options, but Harbaugh's words are drawing real attention around the league.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
