Davante Adams is done for a while. The Rams wide receiver ruptured his hamstring on the final drive of Sunday's loss to Arizona, and head coach Sean McVay confirmed Monday he'll be sidelined six to ten weeks. At thirty-three years old, Adams was brought in to be a difference-maker in Los Angeles, and this one stings.
Meanwhile in Houston, there's a genuine feel-good story building. Wide receiver Tank Dell is set to suit up this Sunday against the New York Giants, ending a twenty-two month absence. Coach DeMeco Ryans confirmed the news Monday, and at twenty-six years old, Dell has every reason to make this return count.
And the NFL is not letting this one slide. Bills safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson has been suspended one game after cameras caught him spitting toward Raiders players on Sunday. One game, no appeal announced yet, but the league sent a clear message that conduct like that carries consequences regardless of the scoreboard.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
