You're tuned in to Sports Desk, let's get into it.
Cleveland's go-for-it moment at the August trade deadline is paying off in a big way. The Guardians made moves most contenders won't dare attempt mid-season, and the players they brought in didn't just fit — they ignited something. One acquisition put it plainly: when they said Cleveland, he was ecstatic. That energy carried all the way to October baseball.
Shifting to the NFL and some genuinely concerning news out of Philadelphia — Jalen Hurts has been diagnosed with a blood clot. ESPN consulted a medical professional to break down what that means, and while treatment options exist and the outlook can be manageable, this is a serious condition that carries real uncertainty. The Eagles and their fanbase are watching this one very closely.
And here's a story worth celebrating — Tank Dell is back. The Houston Texans are activating their receiver for Week seven against the Giants, marking his return from a catastrophic knee injury suffered back in December of two thousand twenty four. He missed the entire two thousand twenty five season. DeMeco Ryans is keeping expectations measured, but make no mistake, getting Dell back on the field is massive for this offense.
