You're tuned in to Sports Desk, let's get into it.
Jalen Hurts is done for the season. The Eagles quarterback has been diagnosed with blood clots in his lungs, and while he's clinically stable and doctors expect a full recovery, contact activities are completely off the table. This thing escalated fast — from a controversial London start that had fans questioning the coaching staff's decision-making, to now a genuine medical situation that shelves one of the NFL's most dynamic quarterbacks for the remainder of two thousand twenty six. Philadelphia's season just changed shape entirely.
Shifting to Indianapolis, and this one is genuinely stunning — the Colts reportedly reached out to Peyton Manning following the firing of general manager Chris Ballard. Manning, the greatest quarterback in franchise history, potentially stepping into a front office role would be one of the most seismic front office moves in recent NFL memory. No deal is done, but the fact that the call was made tells you everything about where the Colts think they need to go.
And in the WNBA, Caitlin Clark continues to carry enormous weight as the face of the Indiana Fever, but tension with teammate Kelsey Mitchell is creating real friction. Clark's visibility is unprecedented for the league, and that spotlight creates pressure that isn't always fair to the players around her.
