Detroit came alive in a big way Sunday out in Glendale. The Lions looked flat through the first quarter, but then the floodgates opened — thirty-one unanswered points, five straight three-and-outs forced on defense, and a final score of forty-five to twenty-one over the Cardinals. Clean, dominant, and right before the bye week.
Meanwhile in Nashville, the Houston Texans' defense showed up like they had something to prove. Will Anderson Junior was an absolute menace, recording three sacks against Cam Ward and the Titans. This was the version of Houston's defense that had everyone excited heading into the season, and it looks like they've finally found their rhythm.
Shifting to the NLCS, the Los Angeles Dodgers and Milwaukee Brewers are going at it in what is shaping up to be one of the more compelling postseason matchups of the fall. Milwaukee has punched well above their weight to get here, and the Dodgers, as always, carry the weight of expectation into every October at-bat.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
