You're tuned in to Sports Desk, let's get into it.
LeBron James is wasting no time making himself at home in Philadelphia. The King made his seventy-sixers preseason debut against the Brooklyn Nets and walked away feeling good about it, telling reporters he's finding his stride with his new squad heading into his twenty-fourth NBA season. At thirty-nine, he still looks like a problem.
Across the league, Giannis Antetokounmpo is building real chemistry down in Miami. The Greek Freak helped the Heat roll past the New Orleans Pelicans one hundred twenty-eight to one hundred eighteen, and he's been clear that his comfort level with this team is growing game by game. Two preseason outings in, and the fit already looks dangerous.
Meanwhile across the Atlantic, Manchester City are staring down the consequences of being found guilty of breaking Premier League financial rules, and former manager Tony Pulis has a message for Enzo Maresca — build a siege mentality, fast. Pulis says the only way through this moment is to embrace being the villain, block out the noise, and let the anger fuel the work. City's players and supporters may need to get comfortable being uncomfortable.
