You're locked in to Sports Desk, let's get after it.
Sunday night in Charlotte, Tetairoa McMillan and Bryce Young put on a show for the ages. McMillan hauled in fourteen catches for one hundred ninety-two yards and two touchdowns, Young carved up Detroit for three hundred twenty-nine yards, and just like that the Panthers are two and two, very much alive in the NFC.
Detroit's defense, meanwhile, is a genuine problem. The Lions are last in the league in points allowed, and Dan Campbell's squad can't keep surviving on offensive firepower alone. With thirteen games left, that secondary needs answers fast, or this promising season could unravel before it ever gets going.
Shifting to the diamond, the Atlanta Braves drew even with Los Angeles in the NLDS, taking Game Two three to two behind an extraordinary moment from Ray Kerr — a former convenience store worker who found out he was starting that same morning, then went out and struck out Shohei Ohtani on a ninety-five mile per hour heater at night. Freddie Freeman and the Dodgers are now on notice heading back to Atlanta.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
