Jim Harbaugh is drawing a line in the sand in Los Angeles. Despite another sluggish offensive showing from the Chargers, Harbaugh made it clear that coordinator Mike McDaniel is not going anywhere, telling reporters flat out the job is not in jeopardy. Whether the offense responds is another question entirely.
Meanwhile in baseball, the Atlanta Braves are heading home with the upper hand. Didier Fuentes stole the spotlight in Game Two of the NLDS out in Los Angeles, giving the Braves home field advantage heading back to Atlanta. The Dodgers will need to flip the script fast or this series could get away from them in a hurry.
And out of Denver, some cautiously good news on the injury front. The Broncos are hopeful that wide receiver Pat Bryant avoided a season-ending injury after being carted off the field against San Francisco on Sunday. Pat Surtain the Second is also reportedly in better shape than initially feared. Denver needs both healthy as they push through a brutal stretch of the schedule.
