You're locked in to Sports Desk, let's get into it.
The ALDS is here and Game One between the Tampa Bay Rays and the New York Yankees is on the board today. This is October baseball with full playoff stakes — the kind of game that sets the tone for an entire series. Check your local listings for channel and streaming options because you do not want to miss first pitch.
Shifting to the hardwood, Duke basketball's Countdown to Craziness is coming, and Cameron Indoor is about to wake up. The Blue Devils are gearing up for what fans are already calling another dominant run, and this annual tradition is the unofficial kickoff to a college basketball season that cannot get here fast enough for college hoops faithful across the country.
And in the WNBA, the Golden State Valkyries just announced themselves in a big way. Down sixteen points against the Dallas Wings, something clicked — and this expansion team, in just their first season of existence in two thousand twenty five, erased that deficit and punched their ticket to the semifinals where they'll face the Las Vegas Aces. A franchise that didn't exist two years ago is now two rounds from a championship.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
