Stephen Curry is simply not aging like a normal human being. Saturday night at Chase Center, Curry dropped forty-one points against Orlando, including seventeen in the final seven minutes of a one twenty-six to one nineteen overtime win. That's his sixteenth forty-point game in the latter stage of his career, passing LeBron James for the record. The Warriors have now won seven straight.
Speaking of teams finding their footing, the New York Knicks are back above five hundred after a convincing one oh-nine to ninety-seven road win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. Karl-Anthony Towns and Jalen Brunson were the engines driving that offense, and after dropping their first three games of the season, New York is quietly building something worth watching in the East.
And shifting to the college game, Oklahoma's new offensive play-caller Jason Witten made quite a first impression in Norman. The former NFL tight end, who was coaching high school football in Texas just last year, guided the Sooners to a twenty-three to seven dismantling of number twenty-five Florida, pushing Oklahoma to five and four on the season. Head coach Brent Venables had plenty of praise for his new hire afterward.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
