You're tuned in to Sports Desk, let's get after it.
In Philadelphia, the Eagles have made another move under center, benching Tanner McKee and handing the keys to Joe Milton ahead of Sunday's Week nine matchup against the Giants. McKee dropped all three of his starts, and Nick Sirianni — who just two days ago voiced his support publicly — reversed course fast. Milton steps in with the season still very much on the line.
Meanwhile in the NBA, the Phoenix Suns are in serious trouble. Portland came into Mortgage Matchup Center and handed Phoenix a one-thirty-two to one-nineteen loss, their fourth straight win over the Suns going back to last season. The Blazers are now six and one, while Phoenix continues to own the league's worst defense — giving up points in bunches and finding no answers on the perimeter.
And on the NFL Thursday night slate, Jacksonville travels to Baltimore in a matchup worth watching closely. The Jaguars roll in at five and two, averaging twenty-eight points while surrendering under sixteen per game. The Ravens sit at four and four after getting blown out by Buffalo, and their defense has been leaking. Kickoff from M&T Bank Stadium is eight-fifteen Eastern.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
