The New York Giants are sending a clear message heading into their matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles — complacency is not in the building. Head coach John Harbaugh has shut down any suggestion his team might be looking past this one, pointing to the stakes and the moment as all the motivation anyone needs. Leaders in that locker room have already done their part, and Harbaugh sounds confident the focus is exactly where it needs to be.
Meanwhile, a seismic shift in world football — Cristiano Ronaldo has officially retired from international duty, announcing it on Instagram in the way only Ronaldo would. The Portuguese icon leaves behind a legacy that is almost impossible to quantify — goals, trophies, records shattered across decades of service to his country. The CR seven era on the international stage is over, and football will feel that absence for a long time.
And over in the NFL Draft conversation, quarterback Drew Mestemaker is making serious noise in the two thousand twenty seven class rankings, jumping to the top spot according to Sporting News. It is early, the class is still taking shape, but Mestemaker's name is now the one teams will be watching closely as that draft cycle builds momentum.
