In the NHL, the city of Turku, Finland is drawing a hard line. Following a Court of Arbitration for Sport ruling that reinstated the Russian Ice Hockey Federation into IIHF competition, Turku announced it will walk away from hosting the two thousand twenty seven to twenty eight World Junior Championship if Russia is permitted to participate. It is a significant stand from a proud hockey nation.
Over in the NFL, the Pittsburgh Steelers are sitting at six and two, and Jalen Ramsey is feeling good about where this team is headed. The Super Bowl champion cornerback sat down with CBS Sports and spoke candidly about the offensive growth he's seen this season. Coming over from the Rams, Ramsey brings championship credibility to a Steelers locker room that looks increasingly like a genuine contender.
And in baseball's qualifying offer window, eight players across the league have received offers, including Seiya Suzuki of the Cubs, Randy Arozarena with Seattle, and David Bednar now in pinstripes with New York. These players have until the deadline to accept or hit the open market, and each decision will send ripples through what shapes up to be a very active offseason.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
