In San Antonio, the Spurs are turning heads early in the two thousand twenty six to twenty seven season. After dropping their first two games, Mitch Johnson's squad has rattled off four straight wins and sits at four and two. For a franchise still building around its young core, that kind of early momentum is exactly what the fanbase needed to see.
Speaking of Mitch Johnson, there's a warm storyline brewing behind the scenes as his Spurs prepare to face the Utah Jazz. Johnson and Jazz head coach Will Hardy go way back to their days as assistants under Gregg Popovich, and the two built a genuine friendship during those Spurs staff years. Now they're rivals on the sideline, and you get the sense both guys are loving every second of it.
Over in Green Bay, the Packers are facing serious scrutiny after coach Matt LaFleur confirmed the team is standing by running back Josh Jacobs amid new abuse allegations from multiple women, compounding an arrest that already happened back in May. LaFleur isn't budging, but the pressure on the organization to act more decisively is only going to grow louder from here.
