You're locked in to Sports Desk, let's get into it.
Nikola Jokić hit two hundred career triple-doubles Wednesday night, dropping twenty-one points, thirteen rebounds, and ten assists as the Nuggets handled the Pelicans one hundred four to ninety-one. He's closing fast on Russell Westbrook's all-time record, and at this pace, that conversation is happening sooner than anyone expected.
Meanwhile in Chicago, Jalen Brunson put on a show, pouring in thirty-eight points and seven assists as the Knicks took down the Bulls one hundred thirty-three to one twenty-seven. New York is finding its footing after a rough start, winning back-to-back now, with Karl-Anthony Towns adding nineteen and thirteen to keep the engine running.
And in Washington, the future arrived Wednesday night. AJ Dybantsa, the number one overall pick, scored nineteen points in his NBA debut for the Wizards. It's one game, but the kid looked comfortable, and a franchise that has been waiting a long time for something to believe in finally has a reason to tune in.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
