You're tuned in to Sports Desk, let's get after it.
In Oklahoma City, the Thunder got some difficult news as Jalen Williams went under the knife Wednesday. The surgery was described as successful, but the team says he'll be reevaluated before the end of the two thousand twenty-seven season — meaning there's no clear timeline on when one of the NBA's brightest young stars gets back on the floor. Oklahoma City will need answers, and fast.
Meanwhile, the Baltimore Ravens are holding their breath over Lamar Jackson, who returned to practice Wednesday as a full participant. That's the good news. The cautious news is that head coach Jesse Minter isn't ready to call him a starter for Sunday's showdown in Buffalo against the Bills. The clock is absolutely ticking, and that is not a game you want to walk into without your franchise quarterback.
And over in baseball, the two thousand twenty-six World Series delivered something special Tuesday night. The Tampa Bay Rays beat the Milwaukee Brewers in twelve innings in Game Four, a genuine extra-innings classic between two low-payroll clubs punching well above their weight. Ben Williamson drove in the winner, and the television numbers reflected just how locked in America was for every pitch of it.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
