Tyrese Haliburton is sidelined, and Indiana feels it immediately. The Pacers star has a strained left hamstring and will miss time, per Shams Charania at ESPN. For a team built around his playmaking and pace, this is a significant blow with the season still finding its footing.
Shifting to Kansas City, where the Chiefs just made a move that raised some eyebrows across the league. Harrison Butker has been struggling, and Kansas City's answer is to bring in Justin Tucker, one of the most accurate kickers in NFL history, signing him to the practice squad. Whether Tucker stays on the practice squad or gets elevated, the message to Butker is crystal clear.
And in college hoops recruiting, Duke just landed a big one. Five-star small forward Asa Montgomery out of Hillgrove High School in Powder Springs, Georgia, has committed to the Blue Devils. The number eight overall prospect in the two thousand twenty seven class chose Jon Scheyer over North Carolina, UConn, and several others. Durham keeps stacking the roster.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
