Francisco Lindor is taking home baseball's most meaningful honor. The Mets shortstop has been named this year's Roberto Clemente Award winner, recognizing his sustained commitment to humanitarian work both on and off the field. It's a distinction that carries real weight, and Lindor has earned every bit of it.
Over in the NFL, the Las Vegas Raiders are staring down a serious crossroads. After a dream start — three wins in a row under first-year head coach Klint Kubiak — the Raiders have dropped four straight, capped by a thirty-five to twenty-one beatdown at the hands of the Los Angeles Rams. Kubiak is now saying everything is on the table, and that includes a change at quarterback. When a head coach uses the word everything, you listen.
And keeping it in Seattle, the Seahawks are dealing with a backfield shakeup that could reshape their offensive identity down the stretch. Both Jadarian Price and Zach Charbonnet are in the injury conversation, and that's compounded by reports that offensive tackle Charles Cross is likely to miss time with a high-ankle sprain. The injury bug has hit the Pacific Northwest hard this week.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
