England's Women's Rugby World Cup campaign got off to a stunning start as they dismantled debutants Wales with a ruthless thirteen-try performance. Connie Boyd led the charge with a hat-trick on her own debut, and Wales briefly dared to dream when Paige Travis crossed the line, but England were simply on another level, running out seventy points to six winners.
Switching to Serie A, and Venezia are in desperate shape heading into a home clash with Napoli this afternoon. Davide Nicola takes charge of the Venetians for the very first time, inheriting a side rooted to the bottom of the table with six straight defeats and not a single point to show for it. Napoli will be looking to pile on the misery.
And in England's Championship, Manchester United travel to Elland Road tomorrow to face arch-rivals Leeds in what is always a fixture that carries serious weight. The Red Devils arrive unbeaten in their last five visits to that ground, and a key creative player who has generated thirteen open-play chances this season is set to return to the starting eleven.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
