You're tuned in to Sports Desk, let's get after it.
At Sheshan Golf Club in Shanghai, Hye-Jin Choi is holding her ground heading into the final round of the LPGA Shanghai event. A three-under sixty-nine Saturday keeps her one stroke clear of Amy Yang, who fired a sixty-eight to close the gap. Choi sits at nine-under through fifty-four holes and has led wire to wire — Sunday is hers to lose.
Shifting to the diamond, the Milwaukee Brewers pulled off something that will be talked about all winter — sweeping the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Championship Series. Ben Lindbergh and Meg Rowley over at FanGraphs broke down how it happened and what it means for the sport's bigger picture, including the labor landscape and what comes next for a Dodgers roster built to win right now.
And in Formula One, the two thousand twenty-six sprint race season wrapped up in Singapore with George Russell and Charles Leclerc finishing as co-champions of the unofficial sprint standings — a genuinely thrilling split conclusion that gave fans one last moment of drama before the full championship picture comes into focus.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
