Ohio State survived a scare in Columbus, edging Indiana fifteen to nineteen in a game that ended with quarterback Julian Sayin watching from the sideline in a sling. Sayin threw for two hundred thirty five yards and two touchdowns before getting sacked out of the contest in the fourth quarter, but the Buckeyes got the job done, snapping the Hoosiers' twenty two game home winning streak.
Meanwhile down in Sunrise, Florida, the Panthers put on an absolute clinic against Seattle, rolling past the Kraken eight to three in a game for the history books. Carter Verhaeghe and Sam Bennett each delivered hat tricks, and Florida became the first team in NHL history to produce natural hat tricks in three consecutive games. Brady Tkachuk had done it twice already this week. This team is on fire.
And in college football, it was a rough afternoon for the SEC's heavyweights. Georgia fell to Auburn on a last second field goal from Alex McPherson, who overcame severe colitis just a year ago to deliver the biggest kick of his career. Texas dropped to Florida, and Alabama joined the list of big names going down hard the week after rivalry games. Hangover Saturday lived up to its name.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
