The Dodgers are in a hole and they know it. Shohei Ohtani and Los Angeles return home tonight down two games to none against the Milwaukee Brewers in the NLCS, with Game three set for eight o'clock Eastern. A team this loaded does not go quietly, but the Brewers have been relentless and the pressure is very real.
Shifting to the NFL, Bills edge rusher Bradley Chubb is speaking out after that ugly postgame confrontation with Rams offensive tackle Alaric Jackson. Chubb says the exchange before he threw the punch had nothing to do with Jackson's mother, pushing back on what apparently had been circulating. Meanwhile, hearing officer Derrick Brooks stepped in and trimmed Jackson's suspension down to just one game, so that situation is moving toward a close.
And out in San Antonio, the Spurs are making a genuinely fascinating move tonight. Head coach Mitch Johnson will debut a three-guard starting lineup featuring De'Aaron Fox, Stephon Castle, and rookie Dylan Harper against the Suns. This is a young, electric group and the league is about to get a real look at what San Antonio is building around Victor Wembanyama.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
