Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs handled the Chargers in Week six, but it wasn't exactly a Mahomes showcase. He completed twenty-three of thirty passes for two hundred seventy-two yards, no touchdowns, and one interception. Kenneth Walker the Third carried the load on the ground, taking pressure off Mahomes — though fantasy managers aren't exactly celebrating that arrangement.
Meanwhile in college football, the AP poll looks nothing like it did a week ago. Five of the top seven teams lost on Saturday, and Miami climbed to number one for the first time since two thousand two. BYU is right behind them at number two. The national title picture just got completely scrambled, and we are absolutely here for it.
And over in New York, the Giants situation is getting messy fast. Running back Cam Skattebo never touched the ball in a thirty-four to twenty-seven loss to the Saints, one week after fumbling in overtime against Washington. Skattebo said he understood the decision. Head coach John Harbaugh said there was no benching at all. Those two stories don't match, and someone's going to have to answer for that.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
