The Los Angeles Dodgers are headed back to the National League Championship Series, dispatching the Atlanta Braves four games to one in the Division Series. A four to one final in Game Four punched their ticket, marking the third consecutive year the Dodgers have advanced this far. Los Angeles is simply built different in October.
Speaking of Atlanta, the Braves now face a serious reckoning heading into the offseason. They bounced back from a rough two thousand twenty five to win the NL East, but another early postseason exit raises real questions about the roster's ceiling. The rotation, the bullpen depth, and the offensive supporting cast around their stars all need answers before spring.
And on the hardwood, Tyrese Haliburton made his return to NBA action Wednesday night, playing sixteen minutes in Indiana's preseason opener against Minnesota. His first game back since tearing his Achilles in the two thousand twenty five Finals, Haliburton looked composed with seven points and six assists. The Pacers won one hundred twenty three to one twelve, and for Indiana fans, just seeing their guy healthy is the only stat that matters.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
