Drake Maye looked like a different quarterback Sunday, shaking off a rough start to his season with a clutch twenty-nine to twenty-six upset of the Buffalo Bills in Buffalo. New England head coach Mike Vrabel called it critical, and with the Patriots back in the AFC race, the pressure is now squarely on the Bills to regroup fast.
Speaking of Buffalo, cornerback Dee Alford is sounding the alarm about the crowd noise inside the new Highmark Stadium, saying it's been a genuine problem for the defense. The Bills are at home, but apparently the acoustics are working against them too, and Alford says the unit has to find a way to communicate and adapt before it costs them another game.
Meanwhile in the NFC East, the New York Giants sit alone in first place at three and one, which almost nobody saw coming, especially with quarterback Jaxson Dart out of the picture. Philadelphia and Dallas are both sitting at two and two, and what looked like a two-team race is shaping up to be one of the more unpredictable divisional fights of the early season.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
