The Indianapolis Colts are making moves and making noise. After shipping guard Quenton Nelson to Seattle for a pair of future picks, the Colts are now actively shopping defensive tackle DeForest Buckner. At thirty-two years old, Buckner still has plenty left, and San Francisco is reportedly circling for a reunion with their former first-round pick. Indianapolis is clearing house fast.
Meanwhile, Toronto is bracing for a rough stretch. Kawhi Leonard is expected to miss multiple weeks with swelling in his left knee, per Shams Charania. No surgery on the table yet, but the Raptors lose their best player at the worst possible time as the season finds its early rhythm. How long this drags out is the real question.
And a brutal blow in college football. Mississippi State quarterback Kamario Taylor, who had been the breakout story of this entire season, is facing surgery on an injured toe and is done for the year. A player who came out of nowhere to capture the country's attention is now watching the rest unfold from the sideline.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
