You're locked in to Sports Desk, let's get into it.
Colorado put on a show at Ball Arena tonight, dismantling the St. Louis Blues six to one in just the second game of the NHL season. Artturi Lehkonen, Nazem Kadri, and Martin Necas were all over the scorecard, and the Avalanche looked every bit like a team with something to prove early in twenty twenty six.
Meanwhile in college football, Miami walked into Death Valley and walked out with a statement win over Clemson. Darian Mensah was sharp under pressure, and the Hurricanes made it clear they belong in the conversation at the top of the ACC. Clemson's home crowd had no answers for what Miami brought tonight.
And on the mat in Salt Lake City, Natalia Silva is your new UFC women's flyweight champion. She outworked Wang Cong across five rounds, taking the unanimous decision and the vacant title at Delta Center. For only the second time in division history, someone other than Valentina Shevchenko holds that belt — and Silva earned every second of it.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
