Deshaun Watson is playing some of the best football of his career, leading Cleveland to a three and one start with career highs in passing yards and touchdowns. But Brady Quinn isn't buying the redemption arc. Quinn is pushing back hard against the growing wave of NFL voices eager to cast Watson as a sympathetic figure, and he's making no apologies for it.
Shifting to baseball, Tarik Skubal is getting the ball for the Dodgers in Game One of the NLDS, and the left-hander says he was genuinely caught off guard when he found out. Skubal has only been in Los Angeles for two months, but he's clearly earned the trust of the organization, leapfrogging Yoshinobu Yamamoto in a rotation loaded with legitimate ace-level talent.
And in Seattle, the Seahawks' backfield situation is getting worse by the day. Rookie running back Jadarian Price has been ruled out for Week Four after re-aggravating a chest injury originally suffered back in Week Two. Head coach Mike Macdonald confirmed the setback Friday, and with a matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers on deck, Seattle's depth at the position is being stretched dangerously thin.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
