You're locked in to Sports Desk, let's get into it.
The Los Angeles Rams are heading into Sunday's matchup against Philadelphia with a significant hole on the defensive line — Aaron Donald is out with back soreness, a brutal blow to a unit that leans heavily on his disruption up front. The silver lining for LA is Puka Nacua returning at wide receiver after missing two games with a hip injury.
Speaking of that Eagles matchup, Philadelphia is already dealing with their own damage — DeVonta Smith has been ruled out with a hamstring injury, meaning Jalen Hurts loses his most reliable target. This is a team that just managed seven points against a Bears squad led by Case Keenum, so the pressure to respond is very real.
Shifting to baseball, the Dodgers are locked and loaded for their National League Division Series opener against Atlanta on Saturday. Tarik Skubal gets the ball in Game One, and Shohei Ohtani is reportedly shaking off some nagging injuries and expected to be near full strength. Los Angeles has their sights set on a third straight World Series title, and the Braves' pitching plans remain unsettled heading into the weekend.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
