In Detroit, the frustration is boiling over. A Red Wings fan named Jeffrey Allor has launched an online petition demanding Chris Ilitch sell the franchise, pointing to a decade-long playoff drought and what he calls a complete loss of direction. Whether it gains traction or not, it reflects a fanbase that has simply run out of patience.
Meanwhile in the WNBA, the Atlanta Dream are moving on. Angel Reese posted fifteen points despite foul trouble, Jordin Canada ran the offense with authority, and Atlanta forced nineteen turnovers to sweep the Washington Mystics ninety-three to seventy-five. The Dream punched their ticket to the next round and they did not make it look close.
And a notable NBA departure to report — Kelly Olynyk is leaving the league behind, heading to Italy to continue his career at the professional club level. After appearing with the San Antonio Spurs deep into the two thousand twenty-six playoffs, the veteran big man closes his NBA chapter and opens a new one overseas.
