You're locked in to Sports Desk, let's get into it.
Charlotte is making moves. The Hornets have flipped Buddy Hield to the Chicago Bulls in exchange for Rob Dillingham, the former Kentucky point guard and top-ten pick. Hield brought a career three-point percentage of thirty-nine point five percent, but Charlotte clearly sees Dillingham as the future at the point.
Switching to the hardwood in a different way — the WNBA playoffs are here, and Sunday night is must-watch television. Paige Bueckers and the seventh-seeded Dallas Wings travel to face the Golden State Valkyries at nine p.m. on USA and CNBC. Dallas has been on a tear, winning seven of their last eight, and Bueckers has carried this team through a stretch riddled with injuries to Azzi Fudd and Alanna Smith.
And in college football, Nebraska is making some serious noise. The Cornhuskers rolled into East Lansing and handled Michigan State thirty-one to thirteen, moving to four and oh on the season. That's their best start since two thousand sixteen, and their first Big Ten opening win since two thousand nineteen. Matt Rhule's program is building something real.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
