Morocco is headed to the Women's World Cup. The Atlas Lionesses took down South Africa two goals to one in the Women's Africa Cup of Nations quarterfinals, with Sakina Ouzraoui and Hanane Aït El Haj doing the damage. Thembi Kgatlana pulled one back for South Africa, but it wasn't enough. Morocco advances to face Nigeria or Cameroon in Wednesday's semifinal.
Meanwhile in Canton, the Pro Football Hall of Fame opened its doors to the two thousand twenty six class Saturday, and Adam Vinatieri made sure the ceremony had some edge to it. The legendary kicker, a four-time Super Bowl champion, took a sharp but playful shot at Bill Belichick in his acceptance speech, noting he beat his former coach to a gold jacket. Belichick, famously left off this year's ballot, was not in the building, and his absence hung over the whole afternoon.
And on the NBA free agent front, Russell Westbrook is taking a zen approach to his situation. Still unsigned, the nine-time All-Star told CNN he simply does not think about it, saying if it happens, it works. Meanwhile, the Heat, Warriors, and Cavaliers are all chasing a six-time All-Star veteran worth a reported three hundred five million dollars, so the market is very much moving.
