Staying with energy, a piece out of Forbes makes the case that the U.S. oil industry is quietly benefiting from a weaker dollar, which effectively subsidizes domestic producers by inflating the dollar value of crude priced in foreign markets. The argument cuts both ways — cheaper exports help drillers, but a soft dollar also signals broader macro fragility that the sector can't ignore indefinitely.
And in the autonomous vehicle space, Waymo is rolling out its new Ojai robotaxi to select riders in the coming weeks. The vehicle seats the same number of passengers as its predecessor but offers significantly more cargo room — Business Insider managed to fit six suitcases inside during testing.
