Welcome to Sports Desk, let's get into it.
Down in Brazil, Max Verstappen's Friday at Interlagos was anything but smooth. Red Bull confirmed they are looking into quite a few changes after the reigning champion dealt with downshift issues and steering problems throughout the day. Not the start they wanted heading into a critical São Paulo Grand Prix weekend.
Meanwhile in the Ferrari garage, Charles Leclerc isn't sugarcoating it. The Monégasque driver says the team has plenty to work on after a difficult Friday practice session. Ferrari is chasing performance they simply haven't found yet at Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace, and Leclerc knows the clock is ticking before qualifying pressure mounts.
Shifting stateside, the San Francisco forty-niners are in serious trouble at wide receiver. Mike Evans, Deebo Samuel, and Christian Kirk have all been ruled out against the Raiders. Evans hasn't seen the field since mid-October with an Achilles issue, Samuel is dealing with a hamstring, and Kirk reportedly suffered a meniscus injury earlier this week. Kyle Shanahan's offense is going to look dramatically different come Sunday.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
