In Los Angeles, the Lakers' ownership battle is getting uglier by the day. Jeanie Buss has fired back in court filings, accusing her siblings of running what she calls cloak and dagger tactics as they push to sell their shares in the franchise. This is a family feud with billion-dollar stakes, and it shows no sign of cooling down anytime soon.
Across the Atlantic, Jose Mourinho is doing what Mourinho does best — controlling the narrative. The Real Madrid boss weighed in on Kylian Mbappe's Mao Zedong controversy, offering his support for the striker while delivering a trademark line — the best thing, he said, is to keep your mouth shut. Classic Mourinho, backing his guy while quietly making the loudest statement in the room.
And in the NFC North, the Minnesota Vikings are chasing history. They host the Detroit Lions on Sunday with a chance to start seven and zero for the first time in twenty-six years. Minnesota carries a league-best eleven-game winning streak into this one, and Detroit at four and two is hungry to shake up the division race. This one has everything.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
