In the boxing world tonight, Canelo Alvarez is back under the lights at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, squaring off against WBC interim super middleweight champion Christian Mbilli in what is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated fights of two thousand twenty six. Canelo hasn't stepped into a ring since his loss to Terence Crawford, and a world title is squarely on the line.
Across the Atlantic, Xabi Alonso's Chelsea put on a masterclass at Stamford Bridge, dismantling Manchester United two goals to nil courtesy of Morgan Rogers and Cole Palmer. Michael Carrick's side imploded tactically and disciplinarily, and Alonso's positional system simply had no answer from the Red Devils. A statement result in the Premier League.
And in college basketball recruiting, LSU just made a massive splash. Five-star center Xavier Young has committed to the Tigers and plans to reclassify into the two thousand twenty seven class. The sixteen-year-old will need at least two years in college before NBA eligibility, but this commitment instantly gives LSU the top recruiting class in the country.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
