In Formula One, Audi is tightening its organizational structure as it builds toward a full grid entry. The German manufacturer has appointed Thomas Fuhr as CEO of Audi Formula Racing GmbH, freeing up chief technical director Stefan Dreyer to concentrate entirely on power unit development. It's a deliberate move that signals Audi means serious business ahead of their F1 debut.
Staying in Formula One, the FIA and Amazon Web Services have struck a landmark partnership that could fundamentally reshape how future cars are built. AWS becomes the FIA's official artificial intelligence and cloud computing partner, with its machine learning tools set to power more sophisticated aerodynamic simulations and help write the technical regulations of tomorrow. The sport is betting big on data.
And over in North London, Mikel Arteta is keeping his cards close to his chest after sixteen-year-old Max Dowman picked up a red card in Arsenal's Carabao Cup defeat to Fleetwood Town. Arteta was visibly animated on the touchline, but the manager says whatever he told Dowman as he walked off was tied to a conversation they'd already had before kickoff. The kid's career is just beginning, and this moment will be a sharp lesson.
