You're tuned in to Sports Desk, let's get into it.
The Indianapolis Colts are moving pieces fast, and the latest is a big one — DeForest Buckner is heading back to San Francisco, with the Colts sending the defensive tackle to the Forty-Niners in exchange for a two thousand twenty-seven fourth-round pick. It's a stunning move that strips Indianapolis of one of its most dominant interior defenders and raises serious questions about where this franchise is actually headed.
Meanwhile in the NBA, Utah Jazz fans got gut-punched before the season even had a chance to find its footing — Jaren Jackson Junior has torn the MCL in his right knee and is out for at least six weeks. For a Jazz team still searching for its identity this year, losing their most disruptive defensive presence this early stings in a way that's hard to overstate.
And over in college football, number two Ohio State rolls into Los Angeles to face a Southern California program that desperately needs a statement game. The Buckeyes will be without quarterback Julian Sayin, which adds genuine intrigue — but USC has looked humbled through the early stretch of Big Ten play, and this one could get uncomfortable fast.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
