College football's pecking order got completely rearranged this weekend. Miami climbs to number one in the AP Top Twenty-Five for the first time since two thousand two, while BYU sits at number two — their highest ranking since their national championship season back in eighty-four. Five of the top seven teams lost in a single week, a first in the poll's ninety-year history. Chaos doesn't begin to cover it.
Over in London, Travis Hunter Junior was turning heads for the Jacksonville Jaguars against the Houston Texans. The first overall pick in the two thousand twenty-five draft, Hunter showed exactly why the Jaguars believe in his two-way vision, contributing on both sides of the ball in a performance that gave the NFL its clearest look yet at what this generational talent can become at the professional level.
And in Philadelphia, Dallas Goedert made headlines for reasons nobody saw coming — or maybe saw too much of. Panthers rookie Will Lee got caught for defensive pass interference after essentially pantsing the Eagles tight end in front of the entire viewing audience. Goedert drew the flag, kept his composure, and presumably his dignity, mostly intact.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
