The New York Jets defense is making noise, and not just in the win column. This unit has done something no Jets defense has managed since nineteen ninety nine, a stretch of dominance that's turning heads across the league. It's early, but the history books don't lie, and this group is writing something worth watching.
Shifting to the pitch, Gio Reyna is finally looking like the player everyone believed he could be. The twenty three year old USMNT star notched a goal against PSG in Ligue one, and the timing couldn't be better. After a rocky stretch at the club level, Reyna is finding his rhythm under Pochettino, and the Americans will take every bit of that momentum heading into the national team picture.
Meanwhile in Jacksonville, the Jaguars have made their call on Brian Thomas Junior amid significant trade interest from around the league. The front office wasn't going to let this one drag out, and while the details are still settling, the decision signals where Jacksonville sees its future. Wide receiver capital is real in this league, and the Jaguars just made their position crystal clear.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
