In Dallas, the Cowboys have a cornerback situation worth watching heading into Sunday's matchup with Green Bay. Joey Porter Junior was a full practice participant Thursday, then dropped to limited Friday with an ankle issue, earning a questionable tag. Co-owner Stephen Jones insists Porter is all-in, but that sudden downgrade has fans and fantasy managers on edge.
Shifting to San Francisco, some quietly encouraging injury news out of the forty-niners camp. Wide receiver Jacob Cowing, working through an ankle issue, returned as a full participant in Friday's practice. With the receiving corps banged up, Cowing could see a legitimate role Sunday, making him worth a look in deeper fantasy formats heading into Week six.
And speaking of receiver toughness, Mike Evans has been playing through broken ribs for two straight weeks, and somehow just put up seven catches, one hundred thirteen yards, and a touchdown against Seattle. His center Jake Brendel says Evans is gutting through immense pain on every single snap. At some point the football gods have to tip their cap to that kind of resolve.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
