You're locked in to Sports Desk, let's get into it.
Josh Jacobs is back in the picture. The Packers running back will be removed from the commissioner exempt list Monday, making him eligible to practice and play as early as next week. The league's announcement puts Jacobs back on the field even as the underlying investigation continues, and Green Bay will take that window heading into a stretch run.
Speaking of teams navigating absences, keep your eye on Zay Flowers in Baltimore this weekend. With Lamar Jackson sidelined, the Ravens will lean on a backup under center, but Flowers has the kind of route-running and yards-after-catch ability that doesn't need a superstar arm to make noise. Defenses that sleep on him do so at their own risk.
Meanwhile in Detroit, the Lions absorbed a tough blow on the injury front, placing three players on injured reserve — offensive lineman Ben Bartch, wide receiver Tom Kennedy, and linebacker Devin White. Kennedy is done for the season. White will miss significant time with a forearm injury suffered against Arizona. For a Lions team with real ambitions, depth is about to get tested in a serious way.
That's your play-by-play. Sports Desk, back to the booth.
